New From Botanical
Everyone has waited for it (and no, I didn’t say patiently) and today I am pleased to announce the release of the first four Botanical Sculpted Groundcover patterns. Each pack contains one pattern, on 6 mod/trans, no copy tiles. These 4 initial patterns can be combined for striking effect, or used by themselves to enhance the standard Second Life ground. They can be found at Straylight Botanical in the new ‘Accessories’ area. Frequent Straylight Pilgrims will recognize it as the area where I play the flute for visitors.

This is only the beginning!

Straylight Pilgrim RamessesIII Pharaoh took it upon himself to make a machinima flythrough of Straylight.  Amazing work!

Straylight serves as an Second Life nature reserve, park, testing ground for new landscaping techniques, and all around destination for residents of Second Life.

Since Straylight has opened, it regularly enjoys traffic that hovers around 10,000, and has been selected as a representative location for Second Life as part of a rotating image system when visitors go to the SL website.

Straylight also has a growing following on Flickr, with the ‘Postcards from Straylight‘ group. At the time of this writing, the group has been in existence for almost a month, has 79 members, and 375 photos.
